Getting Kids Active

03 July 2006

Children should be active, because it isn't good for any kids to be obese as it can lead to problems with their health through their lives. Getting out to the park can be good fun for everyone…just take a ball, a kite or a bike and try some of our suggested Active Games.

See our Activity Games section for a list of our favourite Toys and Games to get any kids active.

There are more toys and games in this area now as toy companies start to take this issue seriously. Those clever folks from Newquay, Worlds Apart, have developed a range of ‘Kids Active' and ‘Baby Kids Active' products, Boots have a new ‘Exercise Through Play' range and Kickmaster have entertaining football accessories to spice up football training.

Start them early…For under 2's we love the Baby Exercise Through Play's clever ‘Farm Yard', ‘Early Learning Centres' classic ‘Funky Footprints' and Fisher Prices' brand new ‘Monkey Chase'. Boots ‘Follow Me Bunny' is a charming rabbit that will follow your youngster around.

Our 2-4 year olds testers thought Boots Wibble-Wobble Deck was ‘cool', sped around on the Dora Scooter and couldn't be removed from the Dora Play Tent.
